Pursuit of Happiness is an Inward Journey.

We all desire for one thing desperately in our life i.e "A Happy Life", isn't it? How can we live a happy life? Well, I would suggest to go for positive thoughts and enjoy every moment that comes your way. Creating positive thoughts can only be achieved through practice as our mind gets attracted to negative things very easily.
For inculcating this habit you must first study about yourself. I mean where, when, how and under what circumstances your mind starts thinking negatively and replace it by thinking the best is going to happen.
Always make it a habit of talking to yourself because only you can understand your problems better than others and its one of the best way to heal and understand oneself.
I have observed two different kinds of people till date - some have nothing but live happily and some have everything but still they choose to stay unhappy. I just wonder after seeing such people. They are continuously in want of something and they never choose happiness at present.
They have a fixed mindset like,   "I want more, it's not enough, How can one be happy with only this much."
Once a man went to Gautam Buddha and asked - "I want happiness in my life, What should I do?" Gautam Buddha replied - First remove the words "I and My" from the sentence that's "Ego and Selfishness" and then remove the word "Want" from the sentence that's "Desire", Now see only happiness remains in your life.

Being selfless and the "habit of giving" will definitely give you real happiness. Giving and expecting something back is a business, but giving without expecting anything is real happiness.
Now here's a beautiful story for you-
One day, a king named Evavad, along with his minister dressed up like a simple middle class man and decided to go around his kingdom to keep a check and to find the problems faced by his people. It was a long tiring day for the king. So the king decided to rest under a tree.
While resting, the king saw a farmer's hut nearby, where the farmer, his wife and his children were talking, cracking jokes, laughing and singing. The king got jealous by this sight. He called his minister and asked how can this poor farmer and his family be so happy? They don't even have proper clothes to wear, sufficient food to eat. I mean this is crazy. I have so much with me that the farmer couldn't even imagine for in his lifetime, then how come I am so worried all the time. It's me who should be more happier than this farmer.
The minister replied with a smile on his face-My lord, the farmer is happy because he chose to be happy. The king ordered the minister to explain it. The minister agreed to this and took the king to the farmer and requested him if he could provide them some place to rest since they are very tired of travelling.
The farmer with a broad smile on his face offered them a glass of water and then served them a bowl of hot porridge. The king observed that there was very little porridge left for his family and thought how come this man is serving the porridge so happily to me. Out of astonishment, the king asked the farmer, if you serve this to us you have to go hungry for the day. The farmer replied - I will not stay hungry for the day we will share the remaining porridge among ourselves and my happiness will be doubled up today as God have me a chance to help a needy person. The King asked in dismay - I can see you are too poor, then how come you can stay so happy? The farmer revealed his key to happiness saying - Dear Gentleman, poverty can never steal my happiness. I believe in living and serving for my near and dear ones. I find real satisfaction and contentment by doing so. I feel blessed and happy when I see happiness in other's face.
Nature is the best example-
Nothing in nature lives for itself. Look around gentleman.
Trees don't eat their own fruits.
Rivers don't drink their own water.
A flower's fragrance is not for itself.
The sun doesn't shine for itself.

Living for each other and giving without expectations is the role  of nature that every human should learn.
The king was totally speechless and left the place after thanking the farmer for opening his eyes through his wisdom.
Life is a journey. Let's make it a joyful ride by being content with what we have, accepting what comes our way and by rising up by lifting others

Restless Nights: The Lessons of Success and Failure

The Night of the Big Race Guhan had trained harder than ever for the annual school race. He was determined to win. But as he dashed toward the finish line, disaster struck—he tripped! His friend Manohar zoomed past him and won the race. That night, Guhan lay awake in bed, his heart heavy with disappointment. He kept thinking about the moment he fell, wondering if he could have done something differently. Sleep refused to come. But instead of giving up, Guhan decided to train even harder. He woke up the next morning with a new determination—he would try again next year. The following year, Guhan practiced tirelessly. When race day arrived, he ran like the wind, and this time, he didn’t stumble. He crossed the finish line first! That night, Guhan lay in bed, once again unable to sleep—but this time, it wasn’t sadness that kept him awake. It was pure excitement! He kept replaying the moment of victory in his head, imagining the gold medal around his neck. And now, he realized— He couldn...

A Coin of Compassion, A River of Blessings.

Once in a village, there lived a rich man who was kind and spiritual. One day, while walking on the road, he saw a beggar and felt sad. He asked God, “Why is life so unfair? Why must people suffer like this?” Feeling pity, the rich man gave the beggar his gold chain and bracelet and said, “Don’t beg again. Use this to start a better life.” The beggar was happy and planned to sell the gold and begin a small business. But on the way, two thieves stole the gold and ran away. The next day, the rich man saw the beggar begging again. Angry and confused, he asked why. The beggar explained about the theft. Feeling sorry, the rich man gave him a diamond ring and said, “This time, be careful.” The beggar hid the ring in an old mud pot at home, planning to sell it the next day. With the money, he hoped to buy a new, spacious house and start a good business to earn a living. That night, his wife took the pot to fetch water, not knowing the ring was inside. She washed the pot at the river, and the ...

The Morning That Changed Everything

In the peaceful hill town of Almora, there lived a cheerful man named Uncle Kabir. He had lost both his legs in a terrible accident many years ago. But every morning, Uncle Kabir would roll out in his wheelchair to the park near his house. He smiled at the birds, waved at the trees, and greeted every child going to school and every grown-up rushing to work. “Good morning! Have a great day!” he would say with a big smile. People loved seeing Uncle Kabir. His smile was like sunshine. Children would wave back, and even the busiest people would stop to smile and wish him well. It became a happy routine—no one wanted to start their day without seeing Uncle Kabir. Arjun lived in the same town, but joy never touched him. He worked long hours in a cold office, buried under loans and deadlines. His face stayed tense, his eyes dull. Life moved around him, but his own felt like a sea without waves—still, silent, and heavy. No tides of joy, no ripples of surprise. Just a flat, endless stretch of r...
