When discussing Women's Day, it's important to understand for whom and why this day is celebrated.
In 1910, there was a second International Conference of Working Women in Copenhagen. The notion of an international women's day was put forward by a woman named Clara Zetkin, who headed the Social Democratic Party's "Women's Office" in Germany. She proposed that all countries celebrate Women's Day on the same day each year to raise awareness of their issues.
Also, the purpose of International Women's Day is to promote gender equality and build a more inclusive society devoid of discrimination based on gender. But in spite of such special day dedicated to them and their special status, are we able to find unconditional acceptance on the part of women who are able to relax in solace—so carefree, so happy, so relaxed—without worrying about anything?
The answer is "No.".
There are many women around us who are highly qualified, successful, extremely competitive, and productive, but many are still afraid of something or another and apologetic.
Somewhere, women still juggle between their interests, families, and professional lives.
The majority of women are unable to overcome this guilt, and they constantly struggle to make the decision to put their personal or professional lives first. It's natural for a woman's heart to dominate her when it comes to listening to her heart vs. her brain, and she frequently makes choices that require significant sacrifice on her part so that her family's roots are strong. Protecting the choices and interests of their loved ones comes naturally to a woman. The universally acknowledged reality of motherhood is the unadulterated love and sacrifice shown by women.
But now, the question is this:
Is the voice of women still unheard in society? Do we not hear what she asks for?
Is her voice suppressed to the point where even she is reluctant to speak up for herself?
Let's try not to make women feel low at times when they are unable to manage their personal and work lives. Saying "it's okay" will encourage her, support her, and make her feel at ease.
A woman is only free when she is able to choose and become what she once dreamed of in her childhood, not what society shows her as being the right woman.
There is no force more powerful than a woman determined to rise. Let her rise in her distinctive manner.
Why are women still viewed as women in this society?
We must go one step further and be able to view every individual as a human first, regardless of gender.
Let's stop fighting for equality and asking men to shoulder equal responsibility at home and at the workplace. Instead, let's support each other, overlooking what gender they belong to.
A beautiful quote to explain how both are equal:
Never ask a woman her age or a man his wage.Because...A woman never lives for herself, and a man never earns for himself.
Women and men are not distinct entities.
Rivers create the clouds, just as clouds fill rivers.
If the two beings are in a competition to see who is better. There is no right or wrong solution to the subject of clouds or rivers because both are significant.
Let's come together, complement each other, empower each other, and fall back in love with life. Sometimes, we don't realize where we fell out.
