Life is so unpredictable, you never know what's coming next. I can say "Life is like a box full of surprises and miracles." We never know what will happen to us and the people around us in the next minute, yet we plan our life with a hope and try to do our best as much as we can.
Sometimes our life takes an unexpected turn which was never a part of our plan. The change can make you or break you. Like you may feel blissful and blessed if it's favourable or you may feel stressed and pressurized if it's unpleasant. Life has the power to turn our life upside down and the only strong way to face the problem is to accept the change and try to give the best in each phase of life.
It's not necessary to be the best throughout your life but it's really really important to give your best. Giving your best may or may not give you the credit but will definitely help you to live your wonderful life without any regret later. Regret leads to chronic feeling of sadness, a negative emotional state of mind which will make you a prisoner of ill-health and depressed life.
There are only two ways to free yourself from this situation-
1. Before reacting or deciding or doing anything, try to give your best and choose the right path so that you will not regret later.
2. In case you are already a prisoner of regret be brave to apologize and correct yourself and become a wiser person henceforth, let it go and focus on the present.
Here, I would like to share two wonderful short stories which really left a positive and optimistic impact on me personally when I read it. I hope these stories have a very strong message for all of us. Let's begin with our story.
STORY I
A highly skilled carpenter who had grown old wanted to retire. He told the employer of his plans to leave the house building business and live a happy and relaxed life with his family. The employer felt sorry to see his good, loyal and diligent worker go and asked if he could build just one more house as a personal favour. The carpenter agreed to his proposal but made sure that this will be his last project.
Being in a mood to retire the carpenter was not paying much attention while building this house. His heart was not in his work. While working on this project,he always felt that he has been assigned a work by his employer even after telling his decision to retire. When his job was done, the carpenter called his employer and showed him the house.
The employer handed some papers and the front door key to the carpenter and said "This is your house, my gift for you & your loyalty."The carpenter was in a shock! He thought if he had only known that he was building his own house, he would have made it much better than any other house that he has ever built.
Moral:- Whatever we do in our life, let it be for your ownself or for others, we must do it honestly with utmost love and care. What you do and give will come back to you in an unexpected way.
Story - II
A boy and a girl were playing together. The boy had a collection of marbles. The girl had some sweets with her. The boy told the girl that he will give her all his marbles in exchange for her sweets.
The boy kept the biggest and the most beautiful marble aside and gave the rest to the girl. The girl gave him all her sweets as she had promised. That night, the girl slept peacefully, but the boy couldn't sleep as he kept wondering if the girl too had hidden some best sweets from him the way he had hidden his best marble.
Moral: Give 100% and go to sleep without any regret in your life and live a healthy and peaceful life each day.
