Live a Serene Life Amidst Nature.

Just wandering how things have changed so far. All the healthier and safer options are replaced by unhealthy and life consuming options. We name it as progress.
Literacy rate is increasing. The whole world has understood the importance of Education. Even in small villages we can see people are thriving hard to get their child educated. In cities we can see highly qualified people around us. Let's pause and rethink once again- why are we getting educated? What is the purpose of education? Don’t you think educated person must have the clarity of distinguishing between what’s good and safe and what’s bad and dangerous for self and environment too.
We humans are really exceptional. In spite of being educated and knowing the hazards of certain things we can’t stop using those things or we are unable to change our way of living for our own betterment. Change and progress is part and parcel of our life. At the same time we must go for the satisfying and positive change.
From school days we are being taught we should not use plastic, since it's not good for the environment. Students learn this from their syllabus but I wonder why it is not applicable in their real life from schooling days onwards. We can see students carrying school essentials made of plastic like water bottles, tiffin box, pencil box, ruler, sharpener, pens, sketch pens etc.
Why don’t schools ban and promote the use of metal bottles, steel tiffin box, pencil pouch made from old cloth, metal pens, wooden ruler etc. Education sector is a place where we can sow the seeds of change which will grow along with the students as they grow. Its much better if implementation of good change is done practically rather than just keeping it limited to books and evaluation system. This habit is not only restricted with students even this has to be followed by each and every responsible citizen of any country. At home too we must try our level best to replace plastic with good environment friendly things.
If you remember in earlier days, the milkman use to bring his big milk vessel and some measuring cans along with him and we used to be ready with our steel or glass container to collect milk at our doorstep.
Now we can see milkman delivering milk pouches which is purely plastic. Milk is a daily essential product and we can’t even imagine the level of pollution that we are doing towards our environment. Glass bottles/carton packing can be used to pack the milk which can minimize the pollution. In spite of  baning plastic carry bags, we can still see many local fruits and vegetable sellers giving away the fruits/vegetables in plastic carry bags. I have seen many people just carrying small wallet/handbag/purse/credit and debit cards while going around for shopping. we can stop the pollution  created by such  plastic carry bags by simply  carrying cloth/jute bags along with us while going for shopping. You can also encourage your neighbours and friends to do so.
If we all take this small initiative the vendors will definitely stop buying plastic carry bags as they will become carefree as he knows that his customers are going to carry their own bags. Still in general stores we can see the packing of various foodgrains, pulses and masalas especially the dry ingredients are packed in plastic bags, instead they can go for paper bags which can be easily made out of old newspapers and magazines.
Earlier days, soda and cold drinks used to come in glass bottles and literally I wish you remember the excitement of opening that lid with the opener and enjoying the drink from the glass bottle. Once it's done you have to return the glass bottles to the vendor. But now hardly we get cold drinks and soda in glass bottles, everything has been replaced with plastic bottles. Also,Instead of throwing the plastic bottles, once you finish off with the drink you can reuse it in many ways. You can take the help of many youtube videos on how to reuse the plastic cold drink bottles.
It is really necessary to make small changes and take some efforts from our side in order to bring about a huge improvement in our environment.
Humans love to live a luxurious life, I mean expensive living style, they just love to show off or just simply love the luxurious way of living for no reason. It's always better for self and environment to prefer smart living rather than luxurious living. I have seen many people just simply stocking their wardrobes with clothes, jewellery, handbags, footwear, watches and cosmetics. Understanding the usage of all these material will definitely make you understand the wastage that we are creating by stocking up things which is more than our requirements.
People are misunderstood by the word luxurious living. We think only expensive cars, food, clothes, jewellery, travel etc and wasting money on unnecessary things makes our life luxurious. But the fact is we are adding up the materialistic wastage and polluting the environment.
It's high time that we realise focusing on healthy living, being surrounded by people who love us and spending time with them, building financial security by not spending on unnecessary show offs, trying to inculcate some positive habits within us, ditching the technology for a day and spending time with nature, family and friends is what should be termed as luxury life. Don't you think this is  really the simpler way to live a luxurious life?
Moving towards the packing department, one of the biggest culprit in polluting the environment, we can see various products surrounding us is being packed with environment polluting materials. Small efforts can be taken from our side i.e we can simply reuse the packing material like cardboard boxes, plastic boxes, plastic or paper bags, juice bottles, tea and coffee powder jars etc several times instead of throwing them after one use.
Gift wraps can be done with designed kraft papers instead of that glittering plastic sheets.
Also we need to bring about small eco-friendly changes while we arrange parties for various occasions like birthdays, house warming party, weddings and so on.
Let's make these functions a low waste deal, eco-friendly and memorable by simply making tiny changes like avoiding too much decorations which includes plastic materials instead we can ask them to opt for some locally available flowers, craft papers, clothes etc, return gifts can be packed in jute bags, craft papers or paper bags, avoid usage of plastic or thermocol plates and cutleries instead
we can opt for serving food in a traditional Indian way i.e in banana leaf or we can go for ceramic or steel cutleries.
It's really high time that we as consumers must become environmentally conscious. We as consumers have the power to change the business by increasing the demand for eco-friendly products.
In this blog I have mentioned all the changes that as a responsible person we can do and ofcourse it's in our hands. All the above mentioned things may seem smaller. But let's not forget smaller changes will definitely bring a huge change which you can't even imagine about. We have always heard about -
"Cleanliness is next to Godliness, but let's make a huge difference about this issue and let's put hands together and follow a updated version of this quote i.e "Cleanliness and Eco-friendly way of living is next to Godliness"
True life is lived when tiny changes occur. Let's be the change first what we wish to see in the world.
If we take care of mother nature, she will take care of you.

  1. Very nice and eye opening blog. We have certainly forgotten to take care of our mother nature that is why we are facing such consequences. But still if we all change ourself we will be able to make best future for ourself and our next generation.

Restless Nights: The Lessons of Success and Failure

The Night of the Big Race Guhan had trained harder than ever for the annual school race. He was determined to win. But as he dashed toward the finish line, disaster struck—he tripped! His friend Manohar zoomed past him and won the race. That night, Guhan lay awake in bed, his heart heavy with disappointment. He kept thinking about the moment he fell, wondering if he could have done something differently. Sleep refused to come. But instead of giving up, Guhan decided to train even harder. He woke up the next morning with a new determination—he would try again next year. The following year, Guhan practiced tirelessly. When race day arrived, he ran like the wind, and this time, he didn’t stumble. He crossed the finish line first! That night, Guhan lay in bed, once again unable to sleep—but this time, it wasn’t sadness that kept him awake. It was pure excitement! He kept replaying the moment of victory in his head, imagining the gold medal around his neck. And now, he realized— He couldn...

A Coin of Compassion, A River of Blessings.

Once in a village, there lived a rich man who was kind and spiritual. One day, while walking on the road, he saw a beggar and felt sad. He asked God, “Why is life so unfair? Why must people suffer like this?” Feeling pity, the rich man gave the beggar his gold chain and bracelet and said, “Don’t beg again. Use this to start a better life.” The beggar was happy and planned to sell the gold and begin a small business. But on the way, two thieves stole the gold and ran away. The next day, the rich man saw the beggar begging again. Angry and confused, he asked why. The beggar explained about the theft. Feeling sorry, the rich man gave him a diamond ring and said, “This time, be careful.” The beggar hid the ring in an old mud pot at home, planning to sell it the next day. With the money, he hoped to buy a new, spacious house and start a good business to earn a living. That night, his wife took the pot to fetch water, not knowing the ring was inside. She washed the pot at the river, and the ...

The Morning That Changed Everything

In the peaceful hill town of Almora, there lived a cheerful man named Uncle Kabir. He had lost both his legs in a terrible accident many years ago. But every morning, Uncle Kabir would roll out in his wheelchair to the park near his house. He smiled at the birds, waved at the trees, and greeted every child going to school and every grown-up rushing to work. “Good morning! Have a great day!” he would say with a big smile. People loved seeing Uncle Kabir. His smile was like sunshine. Children would wave back, and even the busiest people would stop to smile and wish him well. It became a happy routine—no one wanted to start their day without seeing Uncle Kabir. Arjun lived in the same town, but joy never touched him. He worked long hours in a cold office, buried under loans and deadlines. His face stayed tense, his eyes dull. Life moved around him, but his own felt like a sea without waves—still, silent, and heavy. No tides of joy, no ripples of surprise. Just a flat, endless stretch of r...
