Mind in itself can make a heaven of hell, a hell of heaven

One evening while I was having a cup of tea and snacks sitting nearby the window alone, suddenly a collection of memories gushed through my mind.
An hour passed by, but the mind was still going on and I was juggling with my emotions. I found myself smiling, frowning, laughing, crying, regretting etc in my mind. My mind was rushing with enormous, restless thoughts.
I couldn't stop my mind.
Much to the astonishment, I felt as if I am on a boat in the middle of the stormy ocean. The thoughts were like inexpungible ocean waves.
I couldn't stop admiring the power of human mind. It has the capacity to transport you to far off places that you may or may not like to go. It will take you through life journey of desires and fear and many unwanted things. Most of the people are wandering in their mind without their knowledge and they become restless. Sometimes the thoughts that burden our mind is pointless, time-consuming and of course stressful.
You need to control your mind before it turns you evil and depressed. Do you think controlling your mind is that easy task to do? Then accept my challenge. Sit on a chair and close your eyes for just 10mins and tell your mind - "stop thinking, be quiet for sometime." I know you smiled just now by imagining what your mind is going to do for the next 10mins once you asked it to stop thinking. The issue is not the arising of these thoughts, it is that we are unable to control it.
One of the best way to control your mind is meditation. It has the power to calm the mind. The mind gets relaxed and starts focusing on healing and replenishing the wonderful soul. It's a proven fact, a man can never find a peaceful and energetic place like his soul. Stop your mind from bringing in unwanted thoughts, empty it and try to reach your divine soul.

Here's an eye-opener story to make you realize to what actually we are giving importance in our life and regret later for not controlling our mind and neglecting the most precious jewel that we already have within us.

Once upon a time, there was a king who had four wives.
He loved his fourth wife the most and took best care of her and gave her nothing but the best. He gifted her with diamonds, gold and elegant clothing.

He loved his third wife too, he was very proud and show her off to everyone.

He loved his second wife too because she was the one who was always there for him in his times of need and would help him to come out of his difficult times.
Now comes the first wife, who was loyal and took great care of the king. She loved him deeply, but he hardly took notice of her.

One day the king became very ill and was on his death bed. He was afraid of his death and wanted someone to accompany his afterlife.

The king first asked his fourth wife. I loved you the most, now I am dying, will you die and come with me to the afterlife?
The fourth wife replied - "I'm sorry, I can't do that and walked away."
The answer cut like a sharp knife right into the king's heart.

The king then asked the third wife - I loved you so much, now that I'm dying, will you die and keep the company?
The third wife replied - "I'm sorry, I love my life too much. I'm going to remarry and start new life when you die."
The king's heart sank and turned cold.

The sad king then asked his second wife - you have always helped me in times of need, now I need your help again. Would you accompany me to my afterlife?
The second wife replied - I'm sorry, this time I can't help you. What I can do is arrange your funeral and will be there for your funeral.
The king felt devastated.

Then a voice called out - I'II leave with you and follow you wherever you go even if it is to the afterlife.

The king looked, it was his first wife, she was so simple, skinny, almost like she suffered from malnutrition.
The king felt so embarrassed and said - "I'm sorry I should have taken much better care of you while I could have!"

Moral of the story -
We all have four wives in our life.
1. The fourth wife is our body - No matter how much effort and time we give to make it look good, it would leave us when we die.

2. The third wife is our wealth and possessions, when we die, they all go to others.

3. The second wife is our family - No matter how close they had been to us, the farthest they can go with us is to our funeral.
4. The first wife is our soul, often neglected in our pursuit of material, wealth and sensual pleasures. But it is the only thing that follows us wherever we go

Two Children, Two Journeys

Two children can walk through similar difficulties—and yet grow into very different people. Let’s look at the story of two children. The Child Who Was Held A child was happily walking beside his mother when he suddenly stumbled over a stone and fell. Tears immediately rolled down his cheeks. His mother gently lifted him, wiped his tears, cleaned his wound, and whispered, "It’s nothing, my dear. Just a small wound. You’re safe." Wrapped in her arms, the child slowly calmed down. He learned that when he falls, someone will be there to comfort him. When he is hurt, someone will help him heal. When he is afraid, there will be arms to hold him. And when he needs help, he can ask for it. His world taught him trust, security, and the warmth of love. The Child Who Had to Stand Alone On another road, another child was walking alone. He, too, stumbled over a stone and fell. He looked around. There was no hand reaching out to lift him. No familiar voice asking, "Are you hurt?"...

Karma - A Path to Our Deeds

Our life is revolving around some kind of energy between the cycle of birth and death.  One thing needs to be understood very clearly: Birth is not the beginning - Death is never the end.  We all are connected spiritually and we name that energy as God. It really makes me wonder that people all over the world believe in God, only what differs is the name and religion from place to place like Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity, Jainism, Sikhism etc. Somewhere all these religions teach us to do good Karma.  In every country there are certain rules and regulations that one must follow and on not abiding, the person may face legal consequences. Countries impose law and order to provide security and justice for all their citizens and also to maintain peace. Similarly "Karma" - Karma is a law that one needs to follow in spiritual world to achieve that inner peace in one's life. Karma is closely related to your action. It means each and every action combined with your inten...

Rolling the Dice of Life — Every Move Matters

Life is often compared to a journey, but sometimes it feels more like a game of snakes and ladders. Each day, we roll the dice of time, never knowing what number will appear or where it will take us. One moment, you’re climbing a ladder — opportunities open up, joy fills your heart, and you feel unstoppable. The next moment, a snake bite pulls you down — setbacks, disappointments, and struggles remind you that the path is never straight. Yet, the beauty of the game lies in its unpredictability. You can’t control the dice, but every roll is a chance, every move is progress, and every setback is temporary. A snake bite may feel like failure, but it often teaches resilience. A ladder may feel like luck, but it rewards persistence. The dice may seem random, but your endless effort to keep rolling ensures you move forward. In life too, the rule is simple: keep moving with faith. Do not give up, no matter how many snakes cross your path. The next roll may bring a surprise — perhaps a ladder...
